MiKS Bites I Controversies & consensus in joint degeneration part I
A new edition of MiKS Bites is now available on MiKS Community, revisiting two expert presentations from the Controversies & Consensus session on Joint Degeneration at the 1st MiKS International Congress on Biological Therapies.
As the use of injectable orthobiologics for knee osteoarthritis continues to evolve, expert consensus has become increasingly important in helping clinicians interpret the evidence and guide clinical practice.
In this edition, Laura de Girolamo, PhD, presents the key messages from the ESSKA Consensus on the use of injectable orthobiologics in knee OA, while Lior Laver, MD, explores the ORBIT Consensus, highlighting practical recommendations and current perspectives for patient management.
These two complementary presentations provide an excellent overview of where the field stands today and why consensus documents are playing a pivotal role in advancing evidence-based regenerative medicine.
Both experts will return as faculty members at the 2nd MiKS International Congress, to be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain, from 25–27 February 2027, where they will share the latest developments in biological therapies.
Watch the video below to discover the key take-home messages from these two important consensus statements.
